The Representative Council of Birmingham and Midland Jewry, chaired by Mrs Ruth Jacobs, is a communal body comprising representatives from all the local shuls, societies, charities and other communal bodies. It is a cross-communal body and acts as an umbrella organisation for the local Jewish community.
